Min-max rate
Almost all lawyers work with fixed hourly rates and therefore have an interest in long-term procedures. Uittenbogaart Advocatuur is not an hour factory. That is why it is possible to opt for a result-related fee. Pure 'No cure no pay' is unfortunately still forbidden in the Netherlands, because that would make the law much more accessible to legal seekers. As soon as 'no cure no pay' is allowed, Uittenbogaart Advocatuur will apply it first.

So now (still) work is done with no cure less pay. This means that in cases where legal assistance has not led to a solution, the basic rate applies. The basic rate is € 125 per hour and is considerably lower than the hourly rates of other law firms. However, most law firms always charge their fixed (high) hourly rate, even if the case has not yielded anything.

Fixed price agreement
If you agree on a fixed price for handling your business, you know exactly where you stand in advance. This way you will not be faced with surprises afterwards and you can make an informed decision whether or not to start the case. The fixed price depends on the size and the complexity of the case and is agreed by mutual agreement.
Subsidized legal aid (pro bono)
Some people are entitled to subsidized legal aid on the basis of their income and only have to pay a personal contribution once. If this is the case, a so-called 'add-on' can be requested for you at the Legal Aid Council. Via the button below you can access the website of the (Dutch) Council for Legail Aid. Here you can check if you are eligible for an addition:
Pay attention! You receive a discount of € 53 from the government on your own contribution if you have gone to the Legal Counter and the Legal Counter has drawn up a so-called 'diagnosis document' for you.
